Philosophy/Mantra 

Humans were originally nomadic; hunting and gathering, always on the move.  It is only in recent times, where man was able to abandon their wandering lifestyle and settle in cities.  This change has allowed us to thrive as a civilization, but on an individual level has led to obesity, depression and disease because now we never move.  We sit in our cars, behind desks and in front of screens.   Exercise is a return to our more natural state, is at the core of the solution to everything that ails us.

With fitness, it difficult to get started, but when you commit to it, everything in your life gets better; you have more energy, you are more confident, you sleep better, and managing stress becomes easier.  It is my goal, my passion to help get you moving so that your body can reach its full potential, to give you confidence and to transform yourself.  I am a teacher, a motivator, a coach, a friend and we are team!   

My programs are aimed to get results but at the same time to be enjoyable, safe and sustainable.  It is never too early or too late to live a healthy lifestyle as long as you are given the right tools.  Furthermore, if that lifestyle is enjoyable, it is much more likely to be sustainable and long-term changes are what lead to success.

I will not tell you that starting to exercise will be easy, but I can tell you it will get easier every day and that it will be worth it!

Favourite body part to work out:

Core - you can work your core in almost every exercise. Engaging your core makes you strong, increases body control, and increases your balance which is important in athletics and everyday life.

 Interests:

I haven’t found a sport in the world I don’t enjoy. My current love is squash and basketball because they scratch my competitive itch and also challenge my cardio. I am also currently training for 3 obstacle-course races this summer (Spartan Race) and I aspire to one day complete and Ironman Triathlon.

Fun Fact:

Other than sports, one of my earliest passions was food!  I love to cook, love to try out new recipes.  The kitchen is where I get to be most creative.

My focus on functional training has allowed me to develop the skills needed to design programs which focus on developing the body for optimal success in everyday life.

I have taught a wide variety of clients with varying body types and fitness goals. My goal is to provide you with the best workout for your specific needs, that includes a tailored program just for you!

As a NAIT graduate, I was taught not only the theoretical knowledge of anatomy, physiology and specific methods of training, but applied this to hands on program design and coaching in my practicum experience.

I am a Personal Fitness Trainer graduate from NAIT with a CSEP-CPT Certification.
