About Me.

I am a professional Kinesiologist located in Calgary. In 2014, I completed a Ph.D. in Exercise Science and Psychology, where my research focused on exercise for older adults.  I have a passion for helping people of ALL shapes, sizes, fitness levels, and ages reach their health and fitness goals.

My goal is to help people reach their health and fitness goals no matter how big or small. I believe that regardless of your age, gender, size, physical condition, health, or access to a gym or equipment, you can achieve remarkable health, fitness, and mobility goals. I work with my clients to promote resilience, improve mindset, build motivation, and help overcome obstacles. If you have physical limitations and injuries, we work with your limitations not around them so that you can improve your function and quality of life.

I am extremely passionate about helping individuals with chronic disease and promoting active aging. I love helping older adults maintain function and mobility and preserve/promote their cognitive and physical health as they age. As a certified Functional Aging Specialist and Tai Chi Instructor, I incorporate aerobic activity, strength training, and Tai Chi into my programming for older adults. I firmly believe that age is just a number, that exercise is medicine and that exercise is for everyone – it is never too late to get moving and improve your fitness and quality of life. I approach my job with energy and enthusiasm and a love for fitness and helping others lead a healthy life.

I use a variety of approaches to keep things fun and interesting and help clients achieve diverse goals from losing weight, getting stronger, or building muscle to getting more mobile and aging actively. I value continued education and staying up to date on health-, fitness- and nutrition-related knowledge and advances, which I use to provide high-quality services to all my clients.
